At the age of 12, Mike Cochrane discovered Drama Class when he entered Mark Twain Junior High School. Immediately Mike took to the stage like a fish to water. Mikes drama teacher (Donald Dickerson) was so impressed he took Mike under his wing.

Mister Dickerson cast Mike as the lead in virtually every school production for the next three years. Mister Dickerson also set Mike up with "Bailey Film Associates". A company that made films for the educational system, who cast Mike in two films, "The Smoking Film" and "The Importance Of Law". This kept Mike very busy, since Mike was also the music departments solo vocalist, as well as a featured singer with the chorus.

While still in school, Mikes music career was going strong. Because of this, Mike was performing so much that his acting had to be put on hold. In 1978 Mike was rehearsing with Barbara Keith at S.I.R. in Santa Monica California. One night the producer Doug Tibbles brought his friend by to see the band. His friend turned out to be with Central Casting and was looking for someone to play the second engineer in "The Rose" (Staring Bette Midler) witch was filming at 20th Century Fox Studios. He saw Mike and thought he would be perfect. He asked if Mike could be at 20th Century Fox at 7:00am to meet with (The Director) Mark Rydel. Mike said yes and the next morning he was with Mark Rydel. Mark took one look at Mike and said "Can you be in wardrobe at 7:00am Tomorrow?". Mike said YES and Mike was acting again. Mike spent the next few days with Paul Rothchild (First engineer in the movie, real engineer of The Rose soundtrack and engineer on all of The Doors recordings), Mark Rydel and (World-renowned English actor and Bette Midler's manager in the movie) Alan Bates.

While eating in the cafeteria, Mike discovered that the drummer in the band for the movie was "Whitey Glann". Mike remembered Whitey from a band he was in years before called "BUSH". Mike had played at the "Whisky" in Hollywood on the same night as "BUSH" and was impressed with this Canadian band. After filming was over Mike went back to playing music on stage and in the studio, but acting was always in the back of his mind.

Mike is now at a point in his life where he can do both! Mike has wonderful acting skills, as well as a great speaking voice, the ability to Sing, Play guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Drums, Mandolin, and many other musical instruments. He is also a seasoned street and dirt motorcyclist.

If you're looking for a professional dependable Actor/Musician with many many talents, Mike Cochrane is the right choice for you!
